Terry Johal is a lecturer in the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University, Melbourne.
He has developed curriculum and taught in a variety of interdisciplinary courses as well as lectured in disciplines such as design, public relations, cinema studies, journalism, politics, communication and media studies. He has extensive experience in teaching courses in multiple locations, both onshore and offshore, as well as teaching diverse cohorts of students.
His research includes professional development for educators (especially in terms of curriculum development and implementation for interdisciplinary education and multiple location deliveries), the pedagogy of theory in creative practice disciplines, the development of curriculum to help transitioning students as well as digital communication technologies and their use in political and cultural practices.
